Cremation is a process in which human remains are subjected to intense heat and flame, in the neighborhood of 1600 to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. At the conclusion of the process the body is reduced to bone fragments, weighing 6 to 8 pounds and with a volume of about 200 cubic inches (small shoe box).
Cremation does not preclude funeral or memorial services. It is an alternative method of preparation for memorialization.
Cremation allows more options than traditional Burial and thus is more complex, more decisions are required.
